damn, last piece abt a movie was almost a year ago.  not that i haven't seen any, actually that was almos the only thing i did.  guess i just lost momentum somehow.

 

this movie has sitted in my computer for a long time, and finally opened it today.  for the two and half hours, i couldn't keep my eyes off the screen, not only becuse it is in Dutch, but also because of Carice van Houten's child-like face and marbly-white beautiful body.

 

the plot is, i would say, typical world war II movie, the Jews and the Nazis, the SS and the resistants, slaughters and righeous kills, hatred and betray, here and there some gunfights.  what impressed me was to see how much a person, a woman would take to survive and to revenge; what a man could do to satisfy his desire; and how the war turned human into untrustworthy animals.  or is it just the war?  in the end everyone has a little black book, doesn't he?

前几天，我一个朋友的MSN名字改成了“吴宇森把赤壁毁了”，今天看过以后觉得一点都不言过其实。

 

以前都说过文学与电影是两种不同的艺术形式。三国演义本身就是个文学作品，根据史实加以改编，要不怎么叫演义呢。可人家高就高在写的好到人们认为书中是事情的确发生过的程度。中国古典小说重在叙事，不在写景，从而充分体现了中文简略，精辟的特点，同时又准确的体现了众多的人物性格，体现了作者的功底，所以说三国是中国文学史中的瑰宝，而赤壁就是这瑰宝中的瑰宝了。从刘备败走新野，赵云七进七出救阿斗斩将夺剑，张飞一人当关喝断当阳桥吓死敌将，到诸葛亮舌战群儒，智激周郎，哪一段不是脍炙人口呀。

 

你吴宇森敢打起赤壁这块牌子就应该知道肩上的担子有多重，对内所有的中国人都会对你评头论足，对外你有宣传中国文化和历史的义务。为了适合电影这一形式，对原著进行适当改编，无可厚非。可现在是面目全非，孔明少了儒雅与深沉，周瑜不够风流也不高傲，而曹操这乱世之奸雄整个被搞成了个色狼，就甘宁演的比较像，怎么看那表情就是个土匪，可锦帆贼的气势呢？

 

所以结论就是这电影看看也无防，就别太叫真儿，以后老外拿它当依据和你讨论三国甚至中国历史的时候，千万别生气。

 

I am not a baseball person, I don't know the rules, and I even think it is very boring, but I just love sports movies, Miracle, Any Given Sunday, Coach Carter, Remember The Titans, etc.  It is because the competition is so exciting, the human relation is so inspiring, and the glory, honor brought by the hard work make people be remembered.

 

Can you believe it, a community high school baseball team from a small town with the population of 586, a school with 101 students, have won not 1, not 2, but 19 state championship.  The team named "Tiger" had become the soul of the town.  Its spirit had become the very meaning of the community's existence.  However, before it merged with a larger school, its legendary head coach was let go, and a rocky manager with only half year's experience as assistant coach was chosen to lead the players through the final journey.  The rocky is not an out-towner.  He knew about the game and he knew exactly the importance of the last season.  The journy ain't smooth and the last game was surely dramatic, and the result--a even 20.  Like what they said, some legacy just refuses to go.

 

 

I know Trade is a very depressing movie, so it took me a long time to finally decide to watch it.  It is a good film, but not a brilliant one, because it feels like a documentary. However, there are such moments in the film can make it be remembered forever, such as when Veronica put on the hood, turned back and said "you will pay for this, I make sure", then jumped off the cliff, or when little Adriana was dragged into the bushes.

 

Human traffic is a ancient trade.  It can be traced back as far as the beginning of human civilisation.  As the time goes back, this dirty business is not getting extinction, but getting more prosperous, more sophisticated, and less obvious.  Yes, very low cost, and very high value-added, it is such a lucrative business to be missed economically.  In the so called modern society, the authority over another human being is absolutely attractive.  Just imagining, you can control another person's life or death for a few thousand of dollars.  It is the ultimate satisfaction!

 

Just like what we always say, we can't do something just because we can do it.  There is a moral issue.  However, can human traffic be prohibited?  Not in a million years, I believe, not until human being give up greed totally.

功夫灌篮真的是很无聊，很煽情的电影。 有趣的是能看到怎么多两岸三地的明星合作，居然还有黄健翔，看来周总的号召力不能小觑。

 

这半年真是忙的要死，WORK SCHEDULE，B777 TYPE TRAINING，日语三级考试，接下来的面试，让我身心俱疲。 三个小时的面试终于熬了过来，说难不难，说易也不易，不管怎样总算是为过去的三年多划了个句号。但今后又何去何从？ 如果用在同样的时间内获得更多的回报作为衡量成功的标准，那我无疑是失败的，不禁时常感叹自己以前的决定，过去的无知和运气的不佳。能力与成就的不符不得不使我活在自己创造的压力漩涡当中。可不管怎样，生活还要继续，好在接下来又有几个月的TRAINING，希望能好好休息一下，锻炼锻炼身体，也会多多写BLOG，希望有更多的朋友来做客，新的老的都欢迎！

It has been forever since I wrote my last blog.  Even for myself, I have no idea what I was busy with these days.  Maybe I just lost the motivation to write, you know, I still keep some of the Oscar nominated movies, so that I can write something about them when I feel right again.

 

But this weekend I just watched The Transformer with my girlfriend.  I have been seen a girl feeling so excited about an action movie, and no need to mention about myself.  I have to write something about it.

 

In the era like this, the "moviers"  seems just lost the creativities, so remakes, adaptions of graphic novels and sequels become the norm.  King Kong came back and fought the T-Rex, Ghost Rider woke again, and Silver Surfer flew to our mother earth, even the one wearing red underpants outside returned.  How can car-transforming aliens top all of them?  But Michael bay and Steven Spielberg can do the trick.

There are a lot of expectations beard on The Transformers.  I mean, there ain't many foreign animation series circling around in mainland China, offcials might think they would corrupt innocent children's minds, but Transformers was one of the few, and it has run for so long.  I still remember how much I begged grandpa to buy me a transformer toy in the market, for the god sake, that was the only thing I have ever begged from him.  Long before the premiere, my colleagues already started talking about it, the characters, the plots and the history.  I felt very much lost, not only because I haven't watched cartoon for a long time, but also because the "termilnologies" in Chinese and English are so different.  So I googled "transformers".  Man, transformers got stories.  Well, whether it lives up your expectations, my friends, you have to judge by yourselves.  For me, even though The Transformers lost Spiderman 3 on the box office, I still think the walking 18-wheeler is much cooler than self-confused and depressed 8-leg freak.

 

Why?  First, the CG effects.  Blockbusters got to have CG effects.  But the effects in The Transformers are so real, you will lost your identity in the fiction.  Someone complained that the robots have been created with too much details, but I argue, as a true fan, you got to wait for the HD version's release, so that you can play it on digital device, and play second by second to appreciate animators' work, and I can assure you, you won't regret it, especially the scene of ironhide ducking Devastator's missiles, doing matrix move in the city.

Second, the plots.  In a movie like this, "big" scenes are just never enough, but you won't get bored in the time between them either, here or there a couple of classic american humours will just pop up to keep you out of the toilet.  It is so Michael Bay, pay attention to every details.

 

With Optimus Prime crying to the sky, calling all Autobots scattering around the galaxy to come to the new home - The Earth, it is certain that we will see The Transformers II, III, even IV, who knows.  I am sure as long as the talented backstage staff are with the franchise, we will have much to expected.

Four million years ago, on a distant planet called Cybertron, life existed in the form of sentient robots which could think and feel, called Transformers. The race of Transformers was divided into two main clans. Autobots (known as Cybertrons in the Japanese cartoon), led by Optimus Prime, wished for peaceful co-existence. Decepticons (known as Destrons in the Japanese version), under the command of Megatron, sought conflict and universal conquest. Both sides were embroiled in an ages old war for supremacy.

 

With both sides running low on energy, the Autobots, aboard the Ark, sought out a new source, but the Decepticons, aboard their space-cruiser (later given the name Nemesis in the Beast Wars animated series), ambushed them in hopes of gaining a decisive advantage. The Decepticons boarded the Ark and the ensuing space battle resulted in both the ships crash landing on a pre-historic Earth, the Ark crashing into the side of a dormant volcano. (The fate of the Nemesis is subject to retroactive continuity. For the full story, see the Nemesis article.)

Four million years passed while the Autobots and Decepticons lay dormant aboard the Ark. In the Earth year 1984, the volcano housing the Ark erupted, reawakening the ship's computer, Teletraan I, which then modified the Transformers so as to give them alternate modes that could blend in on Earth.

 

The Autobots and Decepticons, now stuck on Earth, continued their war more ferociously than ever. The Decepticons wished to drain Earth of all its resources, converting it into energon for their use, while the Autobots were committed to stopping them, and to protecting the human race. This era would later be referred to by Transformers as the "Great War." The war was almost ended as soon as it began, as the Decepticons gained an early lead, and were even able to build a space cruiser to leave Earth, however Autobot intervention prevented them from escaping orbit.

 
Devastator and Snarl face off.New allies were gained on both sides. Humans Sparkplug Witwicky, and his son Spike Witwicky, allied with the Autobots, while the human Doctor Arkeville sided with the Decepticons. Jetfire and the Insecticons were discovered already living on Earth. Both sides even built new allies to join their cause, the Autobots building the Dinobots and the Aerialbots, and the Decepticons building the Stunticons and the Combaticons. They were later joined by some allies who had been elsewhere in the universe including Omega Supreme and the Constructicons.

 

Despite wild gimmicks on both sides, including attempts to build better weapons, to undermine history through time travel, and even a temporarily successful attempt to warp Cybertron into Earth's orbit, neither side gained an overwhelming advantage, despite the Decepticons being defeated by the Autobots in nearly every episode. In the long run however, the Decepticons took the lead in the Great War, creating a Space Bridge that allowed them to warp individual Transformers to and from Cybertron at any time. This allowed them to claim rule of Cybertron, which gave them the winning edge for many years.

 

All of this changed in 2005, over 20 years after the start of the Great War. The Decepticons launched a surprise attack on Autobot City, on Earth. Countless Transformers lost their lives in the battle for Autobot City, but the Decepticons were repelled thanks to Optimus Prime's victory over Megatron, a victory that came at the cost of his own life.

 

Megatron and the other wounded Decepticons were abandoned by the stronger members of the team, in part due to Starscream's desire to usurp Megatron as leader. The God-like Unicron found them drifting in space. He rebuilt Megatron as Galvatron, and sent him on a quest to destroy the Autobot Matrix of Leadership. The Autobots' new leader, Rodimus Prime, was able to stop the Decepticons however. In his first battle as leader, he destroyed Unicron, reclaimed Cybertron for the Autobots, and expelled Galvatron into deep space.

The Decepticons, without focus and dangerously low on energon, retreated to the burnt out world Charr. It was there they waited, until Cyclonus discovered Galvatron was simply expelled and not killed. Upon rescuing Galvatron, the Decepticons renewed their efforts to vanquish the Autobots and to claim complete control of Cybertron.

 

Both the Autobots and Decepticons soon learned they had a common enemy. A secretive race known as the Quintessons plotted the destruction of both Autobots and Decepticons. Rodimus Prime learned that these "new" Quintessons were no strangers to the Transformers at all. Rather, the Quintessons were the original creators of the early Transformers. Cybertron was a Quintesson factory before it was ever the Transformers' "home." The Quintessons went so far as to destroy their own home world in an attempt to vanquish the Transformers. In the end, the Quintessons, who relied on thorough probability analyses, were outdone by a now adult Spike Witwicky whose actions, unlike those of the robotic Transformers, the Quintessons were not able to predict.

 

The Great War continued, this time with the Autobots controlling Cybertron, and enjoying the advantage. The war was no longer waged primarily on Earth. Now, the whole universe was their battlefield.

 

In 2006, a disease called the Hate Plague was released upon the universe. This disease, which infected human and Transformer alike, threatened to destroy everything. With their leader Rodimus Prime infected, the remaining Autobot Sky Lynx and a Quintesson finished rebuilding Optimus Prime, who was able to reclaim the Autobot Matrix of Leadership from Rodimus Prime and use it to eradicate the Hate Plague, draining the Matrix of all the power it had possessed.

 

Optimus Prime retains leadership of the Autobots. While the Decepticons continue to pose a threat to peace, Optimus Prime vows to resist Decepticon rule forever.

 

 

P.S. In the movie, Devastator has been changed.  Orignally it is a combination of 5 construction vehicles, but in the movie, it is modified M1 Abrams tank.

I don't know about you, but sometime a movie can change my perspectives towards a person or an event.

 

Princess Diana was a legend.  She kept the hope of Cinderella alive for all the ordinary girls.  After she joined the royal family, she has done the very best in her power to help the needies, the poors, the AIDS patients, the African kids, etc.  Her generosity and popularity made her the new face of the royalties, not the queen, but a princess.

 

However, the royal family is just any other family, not perfect, actually far from perfect.  With the high level of media exposure and other kind of pressures, she snapped, and turned to others for comfort.  Let me just say this, there is nothing wrong with love, but there is nothing right about adultery.

 

Soon after the princess and prince divorced, Diana died in a car accident with her companion. It was a terrible news that shocked not only the Great Britian, but the whole world.  Moreover, it was so sensitive, that billions of eyes were watching how the Family was going to react.  Here, we must admire, even fear, the power of media, especially the British Paparazzi.  They are so good at digging out others' privacy and swinging general population's opinion.  I mean there is nothing wrong of paying your own respect to someone like Diana by putting flowers in front the gate of Buckingham Palace, and expressing your disappointment in front of the camera.  But have you given Queen the freedom to decide how the matter should be handled?  The bottom line is that the funeral is still a family matter.

 

Since the divorce, Diana was already not a member of the royal family anymore.  No matter how popular she was, why did she deserve a state funeral in Westminster Abbey, and a half-mast?  At that moment, I feel the Queen and her family were held at hostage.

 

But the Queen is still the Queen, and she knows when to stand up and when to compromise.  She did the best for her family and for the whole nation.  We have to admit that this lady carries a special kind of character, which comes from her education and experience, the family's background and the country's history.  And just let us call it a queenish character for the time being.  Maybe that is the reason why all the prime ministers have become her "puppies".

 

I think, being able to decide what is the most appropriate things to do under certain kind of circumstances is the criteria to seperate a great man and a common man.

 

One other thing, I can't think of a better actress for role of Elizabeth II other than Helen Mirren.  Women, please take note, when you come to the age of 50 and still give men the desire to jump onto you, that is called true beauty, long lasting beauty.

This is a comedy, because I kept laughing while I was watching it.  But I also felt guilty while I was laughing, because I was laughing at the characters' misery.  And it is fundamentally wrong.  That is what makes this comedy special.

 

A pageant-captivated daughter, a silence-demostrating teenage son, a drug-addictive grandpa, a suicidal fag brother, a self-deluded husband make the ultra-ordinary wife perfectly normal.  Basically, a bunch of losers, a typical disfunctional family, to fulfill a simple mission, went on an extraordinary road trip.  In the process, they have re-discovered themselves and each other.

 

I can't understand why they caused so much trouble, even put the dead grandpa's body at the back of the mini-bus, to position the little daughter, who wears a pair of weird spectacles, carries a tummy, doesn't have decent costumes, on the Miss Little Sunshine Pageant's stage.  Standing among other contestants, she is just like a joke.  And why the hell did they join her for the erotic dance?  Finally I realized, everyone should have a dream, and it is his or her duty to work very hard for the dream.  Moreover, the family should support him or her without any excuses.

说实话，HALF NELSON并不是我喜欢的那类电影，太多的真实生活，太少的戏剧性。 我甚至是强忍着才把它看完，看完后甚至连它讲的是什么都记不得，所以也没什么太多的东西可以写。 我毕竟是个俗人呀。

 

但正是这种电影能够给演员充分的发展空间，而RYAN GOSLING也抓住了这个机会，奥斯卡的提名就是对他的肯定，但想凭这样的电影获奖就实在太难了。

As long as there is still chaos in Africa, the red continent won't stop providing good films to us.  Yesteryear we had "The Constant Gardener", and this year we have "Blood Diamond".

 

This movie gives us a reality check.  Behind the little shiny rocks, we can see merciless war lord, corrupted government, crippled peace corps, greedy mercenary, brain-washed children soldiers, refugees, smugglers, prostitutes, almost all the bad things on earth.  TIA is the simple answer for all the puzzles.  One can argue that it is a movie, so it can't be all true there.  But who can be sure that it is all fiction?  The irony is that once the cradle of whole hunman race now is at the bottom of the food chain.  I would like to call upon a campaign to ban all diamond decorated merchandises, certainly a good news for all "men" kind, but we all know it can't change anything.  I believe what Africa needs is a powerful and honorable leader, who can restore order at home and stand up before the super powers, a King.

 

It certainly has been a good year for Leonardo DiCaprio.  Two of his films have been nominated for the major awards in oscar.  When everyone is still indulging in the little Jack in The Titanic, Leo himself has moved on.  Now he is just like a twelve-year Scotch, celebrating his pure origin and extraordinary experience.  However, I will be surprised if he won the best actor award, because comparing to Tom Hanks in "Cast Away" and Danzel Washington in "The Training Day", Leo's performance is still a bit "young".  Maybe it is the driving force pushing him to present more and more outstanding movies to us. 

 

What's more, the last scene on the hill, the phone call, is a little too stagy and tacky.

Mel Gibson的电影事业真是跟血腥离不开关系。开始是以Lethal Weapon在Hollywood闯出了名气，又以在Brave Heart中的出色演出晋身为A List影星，当导演以后的第一部影片竟然是另人咋舌的Passion of the Christ，当下正在上映的Apocalypto更是有过之而无不及。

 

一个人对抗整个世界，这是个被Hollywood用烂了的主题，但就像报纸上的影评说的，Mel Gibson用了一批没人认识的演员，一种没人能听的懂的语言，就让这个主题变的没那么无聊了。

 

除了生掏人心，活砍人头的镜头让人无法下咽外，很明显Mel在用他的电影映射现实社会。就像有了阶级的玛雅王国，在创造了辉煌的文明的同时也荒芜了大地，污染了环境，正应了古老部落里长者的寓言，人身体里有一个无底的洞，没办法添满，总有一天天地会说:"Enough, that's enough!" 带给太阳神子孙毁灭者的不是Jaguar Paw，而是他们自己。

好长时间没写BLOG啦，不知是太忙，还是自己太懒，又或许是没什么可写的... ...

 

生活中的娱乐还是不变，电影不断，最近看了一部还没在新加坡上映的片子，ALL THE KING'S MEN，着实不错。除了演员的演技给人印象深刻和反映的政治现实让人失望外，就是JUDE LAW开场白中的一句话让我不能释怀：

What you don't know won't hurt you.

 

想来的确如此，世上只有两种人最快乐，要么一无所知，要么大智若愚。

 

 

With regard of movie making, different countries have different expertise.  Hollywood is good at heroic craps, the British make very weird comedies, Bollywood is all about singing and dancing, China produces top class documentaries, Japanese is famous for their Adult Vedios and when it comes to Hong Kong, it has to be the mob and cop movies.  And among all the gang movies, the Infernal Affair is definitely the jewel on the crown.  So it is obvious why Brad Pitt brought it Hollywood, and reproduce it on the streets of Boston.

 

The plot has been hardly changed, which is not surprising, because the undercover twist is the movie's main selling point.  Both of the movies are top notch, but one thing I don't like about the Hong Kong version, or I don't like about Hong Kong movies per se is that they try too hard to be cool, how they walk, how they eat and even how the wind blows their hair, just look so factitious.  Apparently the Hollywood version tries to change that by adding into comedic ingredients, dirty jokes, creative swearings, silly actions, etc.  I have never laughed so much in a gang movie.  However, this is a serious movie, mop and cop is a serious topic.  Nobody laugh in the Godfather, nobody laugh in the Good Fellas, nobody laugh in the Casino, do they?  If the audience start laughing at the entertainers, and not to think after the laugh, the entertainers become low class.  Maybe that is why this movie fails to excel beyond the extraordinary.

 

Another watch point of the movie is Leonardo DiCaprio.  Leo, Leo is all grown up, from the way how he handles woman you will know, he is no longer the little Jack in the Titanic.  I always lost track of his age, all thank for his teenage-look-never-grow-old face.  But his career is never about his face.  On the contrary, none of his past roles in the, Romeo and Juilet, The Man in the Iron Mask, The Beach, Gangs of New York, Catch Me if You Can, The Aviator, even The Titanic, does not have complicated personalities, yet he has dealed them extremely well.  So I think it is the time to set the record straight and discard all the misconceptions that Leo is never only a pretty face, but always more than a serious actor.

The reason why I wanna write abt this movie is that after I downloaded it and started watching, I realized that I have watched it before, but I just simply can't remember when and where I watched it.

 

It tells a story abt two souls trapped in regrets and anger, tangle with each other, physically and emotionally, and try to warm up one another with the little comfort seems only can be obtained in this world.  If you are looking for a tragedy, which is disturbingly depressing, this is the one.

 

Yet, it is deadly attractive.  Can you imagine Nicole Kidman with a tattoo above her ass strip dance to Anthony Hopkins?  Of course, it is not just abt the sex sence, despite all the political implications and ambitions, this movie's plots just can't get more human.

饭没好饭，是菜没好菜，但电影却是好点影！

 

冯小刚真给我争气，不愧我在写李安的文章里说他是中国国内唯一一个能和李安媲美的电影导演，可让我没想到的是他第一次尝试拍这样的大制作影片就有这样的高度，不论是欣赏性，内涵，或是票房。电影的情节具体是怎样，我在这里就不多说了，还请各位看官自己去欣赏吧。

 

在去看之前，和几个看过的朋友聊了一下，他们的评价都不错，所以一直是怀着期待的心情看完的整部片。一个朋友说整部影片都不错，但不太喜欢它的结尾。当我看到张子怡被越女剑穿透可没看见谁掷出的时候，我也觉得有点困惑，可后来隐约有了感觉。整部影片里，王公，大臣，皇后，公子，勾心斗角，尔虞我诈，都是被欲望所驱使，又一个接一个的被欲望所吞噬，最后站在了世界之巅的人又能维持多久呢？谁杀了她已经没所谓了，不能控制欲望的人终究要被它所控制。这样看来，如此的结尾就好像点睛之笔了。

 

又有一个朋友说，整部影片都好，就是台词太少，又好像文言文。也不怪他，谁让他是马来西亚人呢，什么是文言文都不懂。据说这部电影是根据莎士比亚的名著《哈姆雷特》改编的，好像导演有意保留了舞台剧台词的特点，是电影更据戏剧性，我甚至怀疑冯小刚是不是原封没动的照搬了哈姆雷特里的台词，听着怎么就这么不像电影里该说的话呢！

 

唯一觉得美中不足，也是内地大制造电影的通病，就是武打场面太多，太花哨。音乐，画面，台词，演员，情节，场面，等等，等等，都是电影的组成部分，而电影又要表达一个主题，所以所有的组成部分都应该为那个主题服务，不够，就会让观众失望，太过，就会显得做作，喧宾夺主了。也希望冯导能和我有同样的看法，这样就能拍出更多的好电影的，至少是我认为好的电影  :P

In a world of cars, food is gas, drink is oil, boot is tyre, clothe is paint.  Lightning McQueen is a cocky race rockie.  His dream is to win the Piston Cup.  However, because of a unwise decision, he tied the race with two of his opponents, Chick Hicks and The King.  On his way to the LA for the rematch, he losted his way on Highway Route 66, and stucked in a dying small town, result from highway re-route, called Radiator Springs, where he found the new meaning of life, friendship and true love.  Of course, he made to the race on time, and with the help of racing legend Hudson Hornet, he had the chance to win the game, but he chose to help The King to finish his last lap in his career.  So, not only he, but also the small town became the winners of life.

 

Funny, touching, techy and trendy.  Pixar maintains his tradition in its newest production - Cars.  It has been 20 years since Pixar produced its first animation film - Toy Story.  Nobody will question that Pixar is the best animation studio in the world.  Unlike other studios, for example DreamWorks SKG, some of their works are successful, some are not that successful, every Pixar's film is classic and leads the development of this niche market in the movie business.  From plots to scripts, from voice to music, we can see that Pixar working toward perfection, and that is the reason why not just every children, but every person enjoy its creations.

 

Pixar also released a short film called One Man Band, which is fantastic, too.  So you have to go to the cinema to watch Cars, so that you can watch this as a bonus  :P

 

 

For all my lady friends, well, not many of them, anyway, if there are any thoughts about venturing into lesbian, even a very remote possibility, temporarily and permanently, you should try this film.  I am certain you will love it.

 

And for guys, you can watch it, too, because it is easy kinda fun, and we can learn something from it, so that our girl friends or even wives won't run away with other women.  Scary, isn't it?

 

 

我喜欢李安的电影，但绝不是因为我断背！

 

 记得看的李安的第一部电影还是《卧虎藏龙》，除了杨紫琼在天上乱飞，张子怡拿把剑乱砍，和周润发那熨斗也擀不平的眉头以外，其他的一点印象都没有。但不知道是因为没看见那么漂亮的外景地，还是惊叹于没用电脑也能作出那么逼真的特技，老美就是喜欢这部电影。真因为此，《卧虎藏龙》获得了2000年OSCAR的最佳外语片奖，实现了华文电影在OSCAR上的突破。李安不仅成为了传奇，更捧红了张子怡这个一代佳人。正所谓成也李安！

 

但看看接下来的华文电影业，张艺谋的《英雄》和《十面埋伏》，陈凯歌的《荆柯刺秦王》和《无极》，甚至是姜文的《天地英雄》，无不传承李安，古装题材，明星阵容，巨资投入，超美的外景地，演员话少表情多。但观众们的反映呢？哪个不是背后骂声一片，更以《无极》为甚，推出了馒头血案。与其说是李安，到不如说是OSCAR评审委员会误导了华人导演，让他们以为《卧》是名利双收的唯一途径，忘记了电影的真正意义在于艺术的创新。正所谓败也李安！

 

直到2005年看到他的最新作品《BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN》，我对李安的看法才得以改变。《BROKEBACK MOUNTAIN》从剧本改编，对演员的指导，画面设计，镜头转换，到音乐的穿插，无不显示导演对每个细节的仔细推敲。OSCAR最佳导演可谓实至名归，这不仅仅是对他在本部电影中的表现的肯定，更是给他对电影这门艺术的贡献的表扬。至此我们可以看出，李安实际上走在很多，特别是很多华人导演的前面。

 

其实李安真的可以称得上是‘金牌导演’，几乎他的每一部电影都和影展有缘。他早期的‘家庭三部曲’ － 《推手》（亚太影展最佳影片），《喜宴》（柏林影展金熊奖），和《饮食男女》（亚太影展最佳影片），以华人，特别是台湾华人为题材，描写新时代对华人传统观念的冲击，和东西方文化之间的矛盾。而他最早的一个OSCAR小金人是由《SENSE AND SENSIBILITY》而得的最佳改编剧本奖。

 

在我看来大陆导演唯一能和李安媲美的就要算冯小刚了。我收藏了他的贺岁片系列。如果各位看官也有看过这几部片的话应该会感到他逐渐由纯粹的搞笑改变成用幽默的方式来反映，讽刺一些生活中的现实问题，我尤为喜欢那部《一声叹息》，夹在爱情与家庭之间的中年男人，可悲呀。现在就希望冯导演的价值能早日得到国际上的承认啦。

Today I watched "The Da Vinci Code" the movie.  I have to say it failed my expectation.

 

The audience were dragged into the story; the scene to scene transfer lacks of smoothness; the screen play writer and the director failed to transform a novel to a movie, so the actors became the slaves of plots.  It is a shame that Tom Hanks is a part of this.

 

Putting aside its history and religion controversies, The Code is a hell of thriller, but the movie just can't keep up with it.

 

Anyway, I did enjoy the music and the french chic.
